Antwerp – Diamond Capital
By admin on Jun 23, 2010 in People
I am so lucky that I have been to Antwerp. It is a city in the north of Belgium believed to be the diamond capital of the world. Apart from diamonds there’s a lot to see in Anthwerp as well like the Gothic Cathedral of Our Lady, the Baroque St. Carolus Borromeus Church and St Andrew’s Church built by Saxon Augustinian monks in 1529.
The city is also home to the very modern Aquatopia aquarium, boasting of a range of landscapes such as rain forests, underwater caves, coral reefs and Antwerp Zoo This is one of Antwerp’s most popular attractions but sadly we were not able to see it because it was raining during our visit. Hopefully we can see it next time then.
