World’s Largest Sand Castle

Building a sand castle is always the common activity of people when we are on the beach and swimming. Did you know that Gerry Kirk who travels the world building sand castles recruited 80 sand carvers and artisans? They spent a month shaping the mountain of sand in San Diego beach. Kirk listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for a 64-foot (19-meter) structure built on Fiesta Island in San  Diego, making it the world’s largest sand castle in 1997.

Now San Diego is not only known for their beautiful hotel but also for a lot of world record sets where the Guinness book of world records started more than a half decade ago. San Diego started listing records already.
