A Moroccan middle distance runner named Hicham El Guerrouj is King of Mile World record holder for the 1500 meters and outdoor 2000 meters and a double Olympic gold medal. His fame not only ended in those sport medals and trophies decorated in his Moroccan furniture.  His sporting career also gave him numerous recognitions and awards for the humanitarian efforts from IAAF International Association of Athletics Federation and also as UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador.

He was also the first man to win double athlete of the year in 2001 and 2002 after remain unbeaten in more 20 races. Really an athletes to be proud of.
