List of Countries with the Biggest Alcoholic Drinkers

I thought Philippines was the country with the biggest numbers of alcoholic drinkers but I have found out that we even got listed in the top 15. As we all see, even we reported rice shortage in the country and weekly gasoline price keeps increasing, the company revenue of Ginebra San Miguel, Inc., the Philippines’ No. 1 liquor company and producer of the largest selling gin in the world, grew 14% to P3.4 billion San Miguel Brewery Inc.’s net income surged 37% on year to P2.5 billion, driven by sales volume growth of 18% and Sales rose 13% on year to P12.3 billion.

The wine market in the Philippines also grew by 8% yearly from 1998-2003 2003 (www.market-research-report.com). and I am sure it is increasing each year. Age 35 – 44 are the age group and coming from middle to upper class at about 8.8million people are the main consumers. But still the remaining class and majority of Filipinos are beer and white wine drinkers.

But even with the high percentage of liquor and beverage companies growing in the Philippines, still the country cannot compete with the number of people drinking alcoholic drink in other country and here is the List of countries with biggest alcoholic drinkers.
